Uhuru to Exhibit at LEAP 2024, the Largest Tech Event in the Middle East

Uhuru Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takashi Sonoda; hereafter, “Uhuru”) is pleased to announce its participation in the Japan Pavilion at LEAP 2024, the largest tech event in the Middle East, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from Monday, March 4th to Thursday, March 7th, 2024.

LEAP 2024, to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is the largest tech event in the Middle East, serving as a forum for the exchange of the latest technologies and innovations, attracting interest from around the world. More than 900 companies from every corner of the globe, including approximately 600 of the world’s leading startups, will exhibit, and over 170,000 visitors from more than 183 countries, including regional heads of global companies and influential businesses, will attend.

Uhuru will exhibit in the Japan Pavilion organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, along with a group of companies representing Japan. Uhuru will showcase tourism and disaster prevention solutions utilizing its digital map, elcompath, presenting cases that can be used both in normal times and in emergencies. Additionally, during the corporate session on Tuesday, March 5th, Uhuru will take the stage to discuss tourism and disaster prevention solutions themed around smart cities, as well as the company’s initiatives with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in Saudi Arabia.

Uhuru signed a comprehensive business alliance with KACST in 2022 to contribute to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030, including the giga urban development project NEOM, which is being promoted by the Saudi Arabian government. Furthermore, in 2023, Uhuru joined the FII Institute, which includes some of the world’s leading global companies, to deepen its relationship with Saudi Arabia and strengthen collaboration.
