On February 10, 2019, Uhuru celebrated the 13th anniversary of our founding.
Please allow me to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our business partners and stakeholders for supporting Uhuru through all these years.
The proliferation of fifth generation mobile cellular telecommunications (5G), IoT and AI finally allows us in to have a clear view of how to bring about “Society 5.0” that Japanese society has been aiming for. That future society, where the natural environment is sustainably preserved and data trading markets exist, will require systems that enable massive numbers of IoT devices to work in autonomous distributed collaboration. Uhuru has developed enebular, a service we provide to orchestrate the operation of such systems.
When we first started the company, we never imagined that we would be blessed to have alliances with so many global companies who agree with our corporate philosophy and who have been so instrumental to our steadily expanding business.
It has been nearly three years since we planted the first seeds of what we dubbed “The Inaugural Year of IoT” in 2016. Employees of Uhuru contributing to cultivating human resources at home and abroad by training the full-scale engineers who will bring IoT to fruition, and creating next generation rules through their involvement in the Data Trading Alliance, an organization that creates the mechanism to trade global data, and membership in UN/CEFACT (United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business) gives me a great sense of pride.
During the last year, we established the foundation for our IoT business both in Japan and abroad by opening a global base of operations in the UK, and through collaboration with new business partners. Throughout the coming year, I am determined to expand our global operations further. I look forward to continuing our “voyage of challenge” together with our partners from all over the world and my Uhuru colleagues.
The key will be to focus on what we can do at this very moment, what we should do in the future, and to completely execute our duties. I thank you for your continued support.
