Uhuru Corporation Participates in the 8th Future Investment Initiative in Saudi Arabia
Uhuru Corporation is pleased to announce its participation in the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII), an international investment conference held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from October 29 to October 31, 2024.
The Future Investment Initiative, commonly referred to as the “Davos in the Desert,” is a major global investment conference that brings together the leaders of many top firms, including the heads of financial institutions such as BlackRock, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Mizuho Bank, representatives of major companies like Google and ByteDance, and SoftBank Group’s Chairman and CEO, Masayoshi Son. This year saw the participation of approximately 8,500 attendees from around the world. Uhuru has participated in the FII since its second annual event in 2018 and officially joined the FII Institute in June 2023.
At this year’s installment, discussions focused on advanced technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), with local government officials and institutional investors sharing insights on the potential for utilizing new technologies between Japan and Saudi Arabia. And as the two nations approach the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025, they reaffirmed the importance of enhancing economic cooperation.
Saudi Arabia is undergoing rapid transformation under its Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, which seeks to diversify its economy beyond oil dependence. Key areas of focus include the development of NEOM, a futuristic city; the expansion of the entertainment industry with eSports and anime as primary sectors; and the easing of tourist visa restrictions. Building on these developments, Uhuru aims to leverage its extensive experience in supporting digital transformation (DX) across various industries through cloud-based solutions like Salesforce. We are committed to driving DX in the fields of tourism, entertainment, and smart cities within Saudi Arabia.
