Uhuru CEO Takashi Sonoda Speaks at the Japan–Saudi EXPO Investment Forum
Tokyo, Japan – September 24, 2025 – Uhuru Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takashi Sonoda) is pleased to announce that its President & CEO, Takashi Sonoda, participated as a panelist in the “Japan–Saudi EXPO Investment Forum,” held on September 24, 2025, at the Shining Hat venue inside Osaka–Kansai Expo.

The Forum was co-hosted by the Saudi Arabia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka–Kansai, the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Arabian Investment Promotion Authority, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the Middle East Research Institute of Japan. It was organized as part of the strategic partnership between the two countries under the “Japan–Saudi Vision 2030.”
The event featured distinguished speakers, including Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment H.E. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, H.R.H. HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, President of the Saudi Esports Federation, H.E. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Japan, and Yuichiro Koga, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and Cabinet Office, alongside senior government officials from both nations and executives of global corporations operating in Saudi Arabia. They discussed Saudi Arabia’s investment policies, initiatives for sports development, and potential collaborations across a wide range of sectors, including energy, healthcare, and entertainment.

Mr. Sonoda joined the panel discussion together with Mr. Toshimoto Mitomo, Chief Strategy Officer of Sony Group Corporation, to explore new possibilities for collaboration in the entertainment sector between Japan and Saudi Arabia. Drawing on Uhuru’s achievements in supporting entertainment and sports initiatives in Japan, he emphasized the importance of fostering cultural exchange between the two nations.
Saudi Arabia is accelerating its national projects in the fields of sports and entertainment, including the Expo 2030 Riyadh, the 2034 FIFA World Cup, international tournaments in esports as an Olympic discipline, and the opening of the mega entertainment city “Qiddiya.” Against this backdrop, Uhuru will leverage its proven track record in Japan’s entertainment and sports sectors to develop new business in Saudi Arabia. By advancing fan engagement platforms powered by data and AI, Uhuru aims to deepen the strategic partnership between Japan and Saudi Arabia and contribute to the creation of new value.
