Uhuru CEO Takashi Sonoda Speaks at Saudi Government–Hosted Japan–Saudi Cultural Industry Event
Uhuru Corporation is pleased to announce that its President and CEO, Takashi Sonoda, spoke at the event “The Saudi Cultural Economy Model: Pathways to Future Growth”, hosted by the Cultural Development Fund (CDF) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held on October 5, 2025, at the Saudi Arabia Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.

The event, organized under Saudi Arabia’s national reform strategy “Vision 2030,” aimed to promote economic diversification through the cultural industry, strengthen international partnerships, and enhance the country’s global image through culture. Bringing together senior Saudi government officials and leaders from the cultural and entertainment sectors—including CDF CEO Majed Al Hugail—participants discussed the role of the cultural industry in driving Saudi Arabia’s economic development and shaping a sustainable future that integrates economy, culture, and technology.

During the networking session, Mr. Sonoda shared insights based on Uhuru’s track record in supporting entertainment and sports initiatives in Saudi Arabia, highlighting the new possibilities created through collaboration between Japan and Saudi Arabia in the fields of culture and technology.

Saudi Arabia is accelerating national projects in sports and entertainment, including the Expo 2030 Riyadh, the FIFA World Cup 2034, international e-sports tournaments, and the development of the massive entertainment city Qiddiya. Against this backdrop, Uhuru aims to leverage its expertise cultivated in Japan’s sports and entertainment industries to advance data- and AI-driven fan engagement initiatives in Saudi Arabia, contributing to the creation of new social and cultural value.
