The FII Institute is the global foundation behind FII, which hosts its principal global financial forum every year in Riyadh. As a global spin-off series, FII organizes related conferences worldwide, and this year’s summit marked the first time the event was held in Japan. Uhuru participated as an official member of FII Institute.

The event was attended by key leaders including Masayoshi Son, Chairman and CEO of SoftBank Group, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Minister of Finance Satsuki Katayama, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Masahiro Akazawa, Minister of Defense Shinjirō Koizumi, and Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Yōko Hayashi. It also brought together senior executives from major Japanese financial institutions such as Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG), and Mizuho Financial Group. Participants further included Saudi and international dignitaries such as H.R.H. Prince Faisal bin Bandar Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation, and H.E. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Japan. This diverse roster underscored the key role of Japan–Saudi collaboration in driving future growth.

Under the theme “How Asia Will Lead the World”, the forum convened leaders from a range of industries — AI, finance, entertainment, energy, and beyond — to explore business potential between Japan and Saudi Arabia, aligned with Saudi Arabia’s national strategy Saudi Vision 2030.

At the summit, Uhuru engaged in constructive discussion with Saudi government officials, investment bodies, and private-sector leaders, focusing on the potential for digital transformation (DX) in Saudi Arabia’s tourism and entertainment sectors, leveraging data utilization to unlock new value.

Saudi Arabia is in the midst of a strategic shift under Saudi Vision 2030, seeking to diversify its economy beyond oil, and to develop next-generation industries. Among the flagship initiatives are the futuristic city NEOM, the upcoming Expo 2030 Riyadh, and the large-scale entertainment city Qiddiya — all of which are expected to bolster the country’s global presence in sports, tourism, and entertainment.

Leveraging its extensive experience and proven track record in supporting DX across multiple sectors, Uhuru aims to expand its business into the Saudi Arabian market. The company plans to promote digital transformation in the tourism and entertainment sectors, contributing to sustainable industrial development and the creation of new value.
